208. Entrepreneurship Isn’t For Everyone. It’s Okay to be Employed with Eric Morse

Welcome back to another episode of The Defiant Business Podcast!

Today I'm talking with Eric Morse, founder of Ideal Career Coach. His story begins with wanting to become a medical doctor, however, he quickly realized that the life of a doctor is not for him so he transitioned to science. After 5 years, he changed careers to become a technical recruiter. First in an agency, then to Pharma, Google, and even he helped scale-out an SF Startup. Being a career coach is a culmination of all of his struggles and the lessons he learned along the way. Now he helps people find their ideal job.

In this episode, we're going to talk about entrepreneurship and help you answer the question "Is entrepreneurship right for me?", as well as give you insights on what the benefits of being employed are.

If you're interested in learning the pros and cons of being an entrepreneur, then this episode is for you.

About the Podcast

The Critically Conscious Coach
Build an Authentic and Aligned Coaching Business
Are you afraid to market your coaching or consulting business because you feel that everything that you’ve been taught was manipulative and unethical marketing coaching strategies?
Have you been paid to be in a coaching program that promised to get you to 10k a month but it just didn’t work for you?
Are you ready to choose HOW you show up for your audience despite everyone telling you to do it in a certain way that doesn’t feel in alignment with your business values?

Coaches and consultants know the importance of deeply connecting with prospects, showing up in an authentic and joyful way, and inviting them to become life-long customers to exceed sales goals.
But many coaches struggle to market and sell their services because they’ve been taught to use cookie-cutter marketing tactics and unethical sales approaches when what your prospect really wants is an emotional connection and real results.
Therefore get ready to “unlearn” and market yourself authentically through asking insightful questions, making better business decisions, practicing self-acceptance, and doing sales the right way.

In this podcast, you’ll find the tools and resources to grow your coaching or consulting business in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re “screaming out” in your marketing and sales calls.
Each week I’m going to take you behind the curtain to share tools, strategies, and tactics for creating an aligned and authentic coaching business.
My mission is to empower and equip you to find YOUR voice in marketing, use ethics in sales to make an impact, and change your clients’ lives using a human-centric approach to grow your business.

I have a passion for helping businesses express themselves through their content. My time as a military intelligence professional taught me how to find creative solutions to problems.

I turn those skills to helping client-based businesses who want to authentically connect with their audience, human to human. We use their content to educate, build credibility, and client trust.

I love working with business owners who truly believe their offer will change lives and who are living out their purpose through their business.
